Bio :
SantAAgostino are born in the torrid hot summer of 2005, from three sharp but fractured minds. Since the beginning, they get their inspiration from the violent and unruly strength of the holy man - Saint Augustine - but they choose to take from him the moniker one in order to put into music a story about "k soil". The story is based both on fiction such as renown-director Pupi Avati's movie "Zeder", and the reality of many a k soil research, conducted by Yamamites' shamans and frequent in the traditions of Central Africa. The resulting album is a mix of noise drone and glitch, in the typical vein of raster noton and mego, with moments of concrete music and influences of the kind of experimentations with sound that is typical of the futurist movement. The band takes pride in its brilliant digital technique and in-depth research, featuring analog machines such as sound effects, home-built synths and vintage drum machine, in addition to a constant exploration on the field, involving the mechanics of introducing drills in alleged k soil, or sampling electromagnetic waves going to ground from the
power trestles. Threshold field recording... minimalist, futurist sound architecture..
